Locations
Locations represent your physical business sites. Each location has its own address, timezone, and business hours. Screens, menu categories, and other resources are assigned to specific locations.
Creating a Location
- Navigate to Locations in the sidebar.
- Click Add Location.
- Fill in the location details:
| Field | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Yes | A friendly name for this location (e.g., "Downtown Taproom") |
| Address | No | Street address |
| City | No | City name |
| State/Province | No | Select from the dropdown |
| Country | No | Country |
| Postal Code | No | ZIP or postal code |
| Timezone | Yes | Used for business hours and device scheduling |
| Business Hours | No | Open and close times for each day of the week |
- Click Save.
Business Hours
Business hours let Tapboard know when your location is open. This information is used for device connectivity reporting — devices outside business hours show as "Offline (Expected)" rather than simply "Offline."
To set business hours:
- For each day of the week, enter the Open and Close times.
- To mark a day as closed, leave the times empty or toggle the day off.
- Business hours are based on the timezone you selected for the location.
Editing a Location
- Go to Locations.
- Click the Edit button next to the location you want to modify.
- Update the fields as needed.
- Click Save.
Deleting a Location
- Go to Locations.
- Click the Delete button next to the location.
- Confirm the deletion in the modal.
Note: Deleting a location will affect any screens, categories, and items assigned to it. Make sure to reassign or remove associated resources first.
