Activity Log
The Activity Log provides a record of important events across your Tapboard account. Use it to track what changed, when, and by whom.
Accessing the Activity Log
Click Activity in the sidebar, located just below the Dashboard link.
Event Types
The Activity Log tracks three types of events:
| Event Type | Description | Icon Color |
|---|---|---|
| Publish | A screen was published to devices | Green (success) or Red (failure) |
| Device | A device was paired to your account | Purple |
| POS Sync | A POS catalog sync completed | Amber |
Event Details
Each log entry shows:
- Description of what happened (e.g., "Published Main Menu Screen").
- User who performed the action (if applicable).
- Relative time (e.g., "2 hours ago").
- Exact timestamp on hover.
Filtering Events
Use the filter buttons at the top of the page to narrow the log:
- All shows every event type.
- Publishes shows only screen publish events.
- Device Events shows only device pairing activity.
- POS Syncs shows only catalog sync events.
Searching
Use the search bar to find specific events by description. For example, search "Main Menu" to find all publish events for that screen.
Pagination
The Activity Log loads recent events in pages. Use the page controls at the bottom of the list to walk back through older entries when you need to audit activity over a longer time range.
Per-Integration Sync Logs
Activity Log entries for POS Sync events give you a high-level view of when each sync ran and whether it succeeded. For more detail (categories synced, items synced, items failed, duration, error messages, and what triggered the sync), open the Integrations page and look at the per-integration sync history. See Integrations for the full sync log fields.
Tips
- Check after publishing. After publishing a screen, verify the event appears with a green (success) status. Red indicates a failure that needs attention.
- Audit team activity. If multiple team members have access, the Activity Log helps you see who made changes and when.
- Troubleshoot sync issues. Filter to POS Syncs to see when the last successful sync occurred and spot any failures.
