Dashboard

The Dashboard is the first screen you see after logging in. It provides a quick overview of your Tapboard account and device status.

What You'll See

Device Summary

The dashboard displays three device status counters:

  • Total Devices — The total number of Fire TV devices paired to your account.
  • Active Devices — Devices currently online and connected (heartbeat received within the last 3 minutes).
  • Offline Devices — Devices that have not sent a heartbeat recently.

Recent Publish History

Below the device summary, you'll see a list of recent screen publish events, including:

  • Screen name — Which screen was published.
  • Version — The configuration version number.
  • Status — Whether the publish succeeded, failed, or is in progress.
  • Published by — The user who initiated the publish.
  • Timestamp — When the publish occurred.

This history helps you track what content is currently live on your displays. For a full audit trail, see the Activity Log.

Setup Checklist

New accounts see an interactive setup checklist on the dashboard. It walks you through the six steps to get your first menu on screen:

  1. Create a Location
  2. Pair a Device
  3. Set Up a Screen
  4. Add Menu Items
  5. Create a Menu Board
  6. Publish

Each step is marked complete as you finish it. You can dismiss the checklist once you are up and running.

A search bar is available at the top of the sidebar. Press / on your keyboard to focus it. Search finds results across menu items, categories, boards, ads, playlists, screens, devices, locations, and media. Click any result to navigate directly to that item.
